Clean Away COVID included in NWA’s Monday Morning Report

The National WIC Association’s members received their first glimpse of the Clean Away COVID campaign in the February 8th issue of the MMR (Monday Morning Report). Specifically tailored for WIC participants, the campaign contains vital information on handwashing and sanitizing, simple home cleaning practices, and safer disinfectant use if someone is sick.

ASPHN launches the Clean Away COVID public service campaign

The Association of State Public Health Nutritionists (ASPHN) has launched Clean Away COVID to help families effectively protect against COVID-19 in the home. Specifically tailored for WIC participants, the campaign offers vital information on hand washing and sanitizing, simple home cleaning practices, and safer disinfectant use if someone is sick. The guidance was developed in partnership with the Western States Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit (PEHSU), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR). Safety at the heart of Clean Away COVID filming

The filming of Clean Away COVID's video series took place on September 16 and 17 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Extensive planning, safety protocols and a COVID-19 Compliance Officer were on set to ensure the health and safety of the crew. A spacious home allowed the crew of over 30 to maintain social distancing and mask wearing was required at all times. Get a behind-the-scenes look here.
